Widnes is a town in the district of Halton in Cheshire, and has a population of 61,464. The current average sale price is £202,566. The town lies on the northern bank of the River Mersey.
Sites of interest include the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre, which was established in 1992. St Luke's Church in Farnworth dates from the twelfth-century and is Grade II* listed. St Mary's Church is also Grade II* listed and was constructed in the early twentieth-century. Runcorn Railway Bridge crosses the River Mersey between Widnes and Runcorn, and is Grade II* listed.
Other attractions include the Greenoaks Centre, which is a shopping centre in the town that opened in 1995. Widnes Shopping Park opened in 2010.
